Unfortunately, yesterday I turned my ankle very badly and I'm hoping I didn't sprain it! We were in Nanaimo having lunch with friends and I stepped off the curb onto a bottle cap about 1" high-- I was wearing clogs and my heel slipped off the back, turned my ankle and I went crashing to the pavement! At first it was my right knee that hurt, and we went to a vegan appetizer party last night. As we were walking to the house my left foot and ankle started to hurt (the knee is fine now!)and it got progressively worse through the evening, even though I elevated it and iced it with a bag of frozen cranberries (how appropriate!) By 10 PM, it was so painful that I couldn't walk unassisted and had to have the car driven as close to the door as possible and Brian semi-carrying me! At home, I had to scoot downstairs (where the bathroom, bedroom and office are) on my bum! Have used RICE (rest, ice, compression and elevation) as well as arnica cream and pills, and tylenol with codeine, and it feels better this morning, but very bad timing! So much to do! I have been scooting around downstairs on my office chair! I guess I'd better go see Doctor Doreen today and see if it's a real sprain-- I'm hoping not, since it feels better than last night. But I don't want to overdo it and have set-back. Arrrgh!

Tat arnica cream is magical-- it must not be a sprain because it's feeling alot better! Thank heavens! Still limping, but not in pain anymore when I'm just lying there!

I'm so glad your ankle is feeling better, Bryanna. What an awful thing to happen during the holidays. :-(

Oh Bryanna ... so sorry to hear about your mishap! Glad the ankle is improving. You did all the right things, and when a person does that, the body is quite amazing in its ability to heal.

Sorry to hear that, Bryanna! I hope you are not an impatient patient like me and are able to actually enjoy some quiet healing time. Love from Alice

So sorry Bryanna! I didn't read this until today. I am glad that it was not a sprain.
Happy Holidays! I just came back from 2 weeks driving from California to Missouri and back. We visited Mitchell's family during the holidays.
