I was looking for Marmite and came across this website that had a statement about the new Bovril being vegetarian. Anyone know if this is true and if it's also vegan ?

I have heard that Bovril has reformulated [is that even a word? lol] their beef bouillon and that, yes, it is indeed vegan. This is great news because I used to love Bovril and I am very happy that I will be able to use it again. I don't know when the new and improved [and veggie!] version is due to hit the supermarket shelves. Soon, I hope!

Shona, I don't know where you are but I saw a jar of Bovril with "New Bovril" on it, in an Asian store in Artesia, CA. I didn't buy it or even read the ingredients because I thought it would still have meat in it. Then I found that link yesterday and remembered the Bovril I saw in that store. I should go check it out soon. Will post and let you guys know if the ingredients really are vegan.
