I want to try a recipe from Veg Times that calls for filo for a swiss shard & potato strudel. I don't have any on hand but do have a package of puff pastry--any chance I could substitute? I've not had good luck with filo and have never used puff pastry, so I'm flying blind. Thanks for your advice. EB

You probably can use puff pastry-- just follow the directions on the package. The only thing with puff pastryt is all the hydrogenated fats. Phyllo is EASY to work with. I'll post some info for you. ---------- "To look like a goddess, eat like a peasant." Karen Andres

Thanks--I'll try phyllo again when I have the chance--that website did make it seem simple and I'm always looking for ways to cut fat. But tonight I'll probably attempt the puff pastry substitute on my willing guinea pig (I mean husband.)
