I love the looks of the new format. The new newsletter is wonderful, and I am just starting to read it. However, it is so large it is almost overwhelming! I am not sure having it in pfd form on my computer is as handy as just being able to access it online. I'm not sure I will have room on my computer to store them all after awhile, copying them to CD is not so convenient, and 92 pages is a bit much to print!
I have a question, though. I have been saving recipes from past newsletters to a recipe file I have started on my computer so I can find what I want more easily, or just to see what I have in a certain catagory. Sometimes I save the pictures, and sometimes I don't. However, I cannot figure out how to copy recipes from the pfd format to get them into a word file. Does anyone know how to do this? Just when I think I have my computer figured out, I discover one more thing I don't know how to do!

Open the file in Adobe Reader and choose File>Save as Text. It won't save the images, but you'll be able to open the recipes in word.

Where are the 92 pages in pdf? I get the archives, but in the regular format. The only pages I get in pdf is the new (April-May '05) newsletter.

Thanks, also, Kourtney! The ability to do this might depend on the edition of Microsoft Word that you have. I could not do this on a computer with an older edition of Word. On my home computer, I have Word in Office XP, and I could do that. However, I had to save it as an .rtf file-- Rich Text Format. When it is converted, you will have to get rid of the bold type (I did the whole PDF file in bold because it was printing too light in regular font), put in spaces between paragraphs, etc., insert page breaks and get rid of the headers and page numbers, which will be in the wrong places, and the photo captions, if any (no photos will be included).
But you WILL be able to copy and paste a particular recipe into another file, if you wish.
