We live just opposite a kitchen gadget shop where I'm not usually allowed to go for Bjarne since I always find something I want to buy. But this week, they have a Braun Multisystem 3-in-1 kitchen machine at a bargain price of less than 150 USD under normal price, so even Bjarne agreed that this was worth buying. Although my old Braun food processor has been faithful and loyal during 12 years, I'm excited by this new machine since this also has a dough bowl and attachments, a blender, several graters, and a very powerful engine. Check it out here:
Braun Multisystem 3-in-1
Two friends came over yesterday for a cup of coffee and to finish the leftovers of the sinful chocolate-peanut-butterfinger cake and gazed with astonishment at the hulk, filling the whole kitchen table in all its glory, in between the monstrosity of a cardboard box, expanded polystyrene, and all the many thingummyjigs and thingamabobs scattered helter-skelter: "We don't know anyone who has so many kitchen gadgets as you guys" was their comment. I asked if they wanted my old food processor but they thanked no as they didn't have any ideas what to use it for!!! (sic!)
Me, I wonder how I'd ever survive without it?

Congratulations Soren on your new addition. Despite the scary description of it's beginning (thingummyjigs and helterscelter along with polyeurathane plastic, etc) - I'm sure it will grow into a wonderful blessing and be a perfect fit with your family.

Søren,

You live in the 'dangerous zone' to be across from a Kitchen Gadget store. :-) That's a cool food processor. I like the stainless steel bowl! Have fun with it and let us know how easy to use it is.

I love my Braun multiquick blender too. I have made potato soup, mashed potato, sauces by using this gadget. Love it!

This comes with a few attachments. The blender and some of the attachments fit in my kitchen's drawers. This might be your next purchase! :-)

Actually, Debbie, I do have the Braun multiblender - but that was a gift! It is indeed very useful for vegetable soups. Just tonight I made a batch of cashew "parmesan" in the small covered bowl - we had Mushroom (Oysterhats) Fettucine from Nonna's Italian Kitchen.
Yes, it is very dangerous to be living across a kitchen gadget store. If I'm standing in one of our living rooms, gazing across the street, Bjarne immediately goes: "Oh no you don't!" *LOL* But between us, he was the one who spotted the bargain price in a catalogue and it was his suggestion that I buy it. Tonight we also premièred the stainless steal bowl with dough attachments as Bjarne makes Bryanna's No-Fat Granola from her first cookbook. It was very convenient to mix it all it the bowl (we also get rid of a batch of okara from my soy milk maker - we haven't had any fires lately!). The engine hardly makes any noise while running. I also tried the blender glass for a smoothie today - I always keep frozen bananas in the freezer but since I was out of soymilk (that was by noon and I hadn't made a batch of soymilk), I quickly whipped up a batch of almond milk in the blender and it became so smooth, even after only maybe 30 seconds of blending. It's really a powerhouse! YAY!
