As you can see, the frosting dripped. But it was still delicious.

It is sinfully delicious. My husband loves it. It is long gone now.

Debbie, I'm going to experiment with adding some agar to this icing.

Thanks, Bryanna! Let me know your changes. I am sure Mitchell doesn't mind if I make it again. :-)

I made this cake this weekend! YUMMY!!! This is definitely very rich. Bryanna, after your no-fat cookbooks, are you planning to do an "Absolutely Not Low-Fat Cookbook" *LOL*
We had guests over yesterday to help us eat it, and Bjarne and I had a slice this afternoon, but there's still half a cake left! And we were both supposed to lose a few pounds, well, what ya gonna do?
Debbie, my frosting came out much more yellow than yours (and Bryanna's) probably due to the margarine I use. I didn't experience any problems with the frosting running. I cooked the soymilk and flour mixture in the microwave, in fact it became a firm block that I had to scoop
out of the container into the food processor together with the margarine-sugar mixture.
But again, a great cake!!!

Tell me about losing weight while testing these recipes!! Yikes! Doing the nutritional info with my new software is helping-- makes me modify sometimes! You could probably freeze the cake??

You have given me an idea for the icing (I am going to try using agar, too)-- maybe microwaving is the way to go. I usually microwave, but haven't done it with this recipe. How long did you zap it and did you stir at intervals?

I didn't check exactly how long time I microwaved the soymilk/flour mixture but I did stop and stir it once or twice. After a few minutes, the mixture was completely stiff.
