I looked in a couple grocery stores for the Earth Balance margarine, but couldn't find it. Is it only sold in health food stores ? I found a "Smart balance", and was wondering if I should get that ??

Only Smart Balance Lite is vegan. Smart Balance is like the supermarket version of Earth Balance (which IS vegan). Earth Balance is generally found in HFS, although one of our supermarkets carries it, too.

Val, are you in the U.S.? If so, it's sold at Trader Joes (for less, even!). Also, you may see "Soy Garden" in a green decorated tub -- it is Earth Balance (by the same company).
I've also seen it at Ralph's supermarket.

Thanks Linda, I'll check out Trader Joes. They have one right near where I live.
Bryanna, glad you told me about the difference between the regular smart balance and the lite!
