He likes Bali Surf Burger with blackened tempeh (don't know if your husband like tempeh or not) and Native Chili on it and french fries on the side.

I like the hot bowl which are less fattening. I like Soul Bowl, Mad Cowboy, and Gandhi. I tried their Pizzas too and pretty good. What I don't like much there is the Mexican style dishes. It is not spicy enough and authentic enough for me (although I like Soy Amigo salad). I like their Caesar Salad too.

The 'Save the Chicken Wings' are pretty good.

Julie must have her favorites too, at Native foods. :-)

The Native Ice Tea is good. My husband loves the Boogie Bar for dessert, rich and sinful (I can make it at home. I bought their cookbook).

When I told my husband about your husband's eating habit, he agreesthat your husband may still be used to the fat of meat. People that eat meat, eat more fatty food, so vegan food is to 'light' for them. In the beginning we will have to cook fatty vegetarian dishes. Then, gradually, our habit and taste will change. After I cook low fat vegan dishes for a while, my husband's taste toward fatty food changed. He can't eat too much fatty or fried food as much as he used to be. He said that I CHANGED him with my cooking.

My family has many favorites at Native Foods. My son loves the chili fries, my daughter loves the Surf Burgers (made with homemade tempeh) and my husband loves the Philly Peppersteak sandwiches (made with peppery seitan). We also love the iced tea, chai tea, cheesecake, boogie bars, soups, veggie burgers... The food is always very good, and I don't think that we've ever had anything we didn't like.

You'll have to let us know what you try there :)
