YAY! That one is so good, Bryanna. I made a roast yesterday when I had the day off work, we had it with boiled potatoes, steamed carrots and snow peas, and there was just enough cooking broth left for gravy, oh, and how convenient - after adding some to the roast, according to the recipe, there was still some red wine left in the bottle for us to enjoy with the meal :-) The meal was terrific! Tonight we made hot sandwiches with slices of roast, dripping with the remaining gravy, and fried the leftover potatoes to serve on the side. Yummy!!! Highly recommended.
We also tried your frozen tofu "meat loaf" from your very first book (why on earth haven't we tried that one before???) It was excellent, and that prompts me to make your Bobotie (South African curry-style "meat loaf") again soon, this time with frozen tofu. We both loved that one, and to think it will be even better, using frozen tofu instead of TVP granules ...

Thanks,Søren! And thank Debbie for suggesting I develop that recipe! Hot "roast beef" sandwiches are a favorite of my husband's, too-- reminds him of diner meals he had with his Mom when he was a kid. He has to eat it with peas! ---------- "To look like a goddess, eat like a peasant." Karen Andres

I have a bunch of snow peas in my freezer from last spring. Did you steam the carrots with the snow peas and serve it combined as a veggie side dish? I need more ideas on using snow peas, this is the first year I've ever had any excess to freeze. ---------- "To cook is to create.
