Hello everyone! It's been ages since I've posted or read these boards, but I love Bryanna's recipes and wanted to tell all of you about the Wall Street Journal's taste test on the various turkey substitutes available today, and also their article. I think it's great that a mainstream newspaper did an article like this!

Thanks for posting that, Val! I agree-- the Celebration Roast is the best commercial one!

Hi everyone,

It seems that I have disappeared from blogs and forum. I have. I have been taking care of my mom who was gravely ill. She was in the hospital for a month and in the nursing home more than for a month. She will be released soon.

In the last 2.5 months, we barely survived by eating non home cooked meals. It's hard. Fortunately, there are a lot of vegetarians in my area and lots of market that provide vegetarians and vegan food.

My husband's mom was gravely ill too, almost the same time as my own mom. We went to Missouri to visit her and ate Tofurky for Thanksgiving. Celebration Roast is not available in this part of the country yet. I had to call a health food store in Springfield, MO to reserve my Tofurky (it was only a few boxes available).

Fortunately, both moms are doing better. But I do missed cooking Bryanna's recipes. My husband missed it too. It seems it has been a while that I made something that is from a special recipe or the newsletter. I really missed it.
