My HF store sold one brand of agar powder for years and years. Lately, they have switched to a Japanese brand with little packets within a larger packet (waste of materials, for one thing!). I have noticed that my vegan cheezes are coming out softer with this agar powder and I have had to go from 1 1/8 tsp. to 2 tsp.
I didn't know there could be this difference between brands. Has anyone else experienced this?
