The subject line says it all. I tried soy yogurt for the first time yesterday I made it with soy dream, agar powder and whole soy as the starter. I left it for about 8 hours in my donvier yogurt maker and it is not very thick and kind of curdled. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Do i need a different starter? did I leave it in the yogurt maker too long?

Did you use the tapioca starch/flour from the recipe as well? That is important.

By "curdled", do you just mean that there are some thicker clumps and some more liquidy spots?

Your yogurt incubator may be a bit warm. But, even so, it hould be okay. It does thicken when it cools. The starch and tapioca need to cool. Don't expect it to be thick when it is still warm. Soy protein does not work the same way as milk protein.
