Hi Bryanna,
There are some recipes in my copy of King Arthur Flour Whole Grain Baking I'd like to try that call for barley flour. I can't buy commercial barley flour where I live. I do have some pot barley in the pantry though, and I was wondering if it's possible to make my own in the blender. Is barley soft enough to be ground in the blender?

If you have a good blender, it might. However, you might be better off using an electric coffee/spice grinder (well-cleaned, of course), in small batches. I have made rice flour this way before, and rice is pretty hard.

Thanks, Bryanna. I do have an electric spice grinder. I'll try that. :-)
