In this recipe, in your newsletter, you listed 2/3 cup olive oil, divided. You used 1/3 cup oil for the sliced onions on the bottom of the pan. Where is the other 1/3 cup oil is used for?
The onions in the lentil used 1 tbsp oil for stir frying it and the garlic.
So I believe that the recipe use only 1/3 cup oil + 1 tbsp?

I thought I screwed up this recipe! But I checked and it says: "With a sharp knife, cut the casserole into diamond shapes ONLY about 1/2" deep. **Pour the remaining oil evenly over the top.**Cover the pan with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil."
