I am so chuffed - last Friday I made my first ever pate (a recipe from the Christmas section) and it is a true and utter success. You can see a pic of it on my blog!
My 13 month old daughter went "hm, hm" when she ate it on a piece of toast (with Dijon mustard - she is my daughter, lol). Bryanna you are a superstar - I was bouncing up and down with excitement.
this Friday the wheat gluten should arrive so I will get going on the Saitan.
My milk order is cancelled on DD is still on cows milk for now until I did some more research about soya milk for toddlers (any ideas anyone???).
Next challenge is to do an Italian meal for my Malaysian friends Saturday in a week. I would like to do fresh pasta - are there any recipes???
Thank you.
Mel - almost getting there...

That's great, Mel! I'm pleased!
Do you have my book "Nonna's Italian Kitchen"? It has a chapter on homemade vegan pasta. If not, email me and I'll send you the recipe.
About the soymilk for toddlers-- I don't know how old your daughter is.
if you are worried about the safety of soy for babies and children, here is some info I have compiled: http://www.bryannaclarkgrogan.com/page/page/3476771.htm#9

Thanks for the links, very informative.
I have to find some sources for organic soy milk - in time I hope to make my own but I have learned that it is better for me to start slowly, enjoy successes and continue on straight and steady path... LOL
My daughter is 13 months old - so she is having cows milk twice a day - morning and evening.
I think I would be comfortable to give her organic soy milk and I am sure I can find it in a health food shop.
Thank you

I'm sure you can-- most commercial soymilk is organic. Some doctors recommend formula for the first 2 years if not being breastfed, though-- that's why I gave you the formula link.
