Hi! I got a knife from Pampered Chef that sharpens itself whenever it is taken out of the sharpener sleeve. I have the 5" knife which runs about $26 once all the charges are added on at the end. I love it.

I also got a bottle of dark rum and inexpensive red wine to cook with. I used some of the rum in Bryanna's soy-nog recipe ... yum. I plan on trying a cake from the VWAV cookbook with it next, orange rum tea cake uses 2 Tbsp. I think my bottle will be around awhile.

I have been seeing panini presses at the stores for around $30, I didn't want one yet. I remember Debbie's awesome press and dream of her sandwich pictures when I see one though. Right now I can't justify the counterspace.

I also have been eyeballing the Vita Mixers, but I have a decent blender with my Bosch Universal and I also have a good food processore, and a wonderful magic bullet that we use regularly. So the expense and the counterspace stop me from pursuing this.
