I am so excited! I just got a brand new Bosch mixer! Now I'm trying to figure out what to make with it first!

What does everyone suggest? What's going to show off its capabilities and prove to my fiancee that it was a worthwhile investment?

Bryanna: I had that very page open when I saw your response. Isn't that funny?

Brenda: But what kind? There are so many seitan recipes around here! I've hardly ever made it before because making it by hand was too much work. What are your favorites?

The two I usually make are Bryanna's "pork" and "ham". The Bosch really does make such quick and easy work of the kneading part!!

I've had mine for a year and a half and I've used it to make whole wheat breads (largely recipes from the Laurel's Kitchen Bread Book), white bread (the recipe from Bryanna's Italian cookbook), and seitan. My favourite seitan recipe so far is this one http://ellenskitchen.com/recipebox/glutchuck.html -- I liked the richer texture.

I made cookies in it once but decided it was easier to just do it with a wooden spoon.
