Bryanna,

Woke up to pouring rain this morning which has continued all day (flood watches out for the low areas of the county). Temps have been in the mid to lower 40's (F). Seemed like a perfect day to try the barley/leek/mushroom soup you posted on your blog recently. It was delicious!! Just finished a big bowl. Didn't seem that heavy, but by the time I finished the bowl, I was VERY full!!

Thanks for another great soup recipe!

I can't take credit for that recipe, since it was adapted from one of deborah madison's, but glad you enjoyed it1 i really liked it, too! We had a tremendous rain, wind, thunder and lightening storm today and just got our power back on AGAIN! I made my Oatmeal Soup from the fiber book on the woodstove and it was good, too!

Yes, I could empathize with you as I was reading your latest blog entry about the power problems. This area too, will periodically lose power for no reason. But never a stretch like you described ... the on again-off again bit would have driven me crazy!!
