Hi --
I am sorry if this question has been asked before..
But does anyone have a recommedation between a slow cooker or a crockpot? I am going to ask for one for the holidays.
Thanks!

Hi again,
Bryanna -- the new newsletter looks great!!!
So I was thinking about the Cuisinart or the Hamilton-Beach 6 quart. Do you think I need a large one, or can I get away with a smaller 4 quart one?
Thanks!

Thanks, Lisa! Here's an article that might help you choose: http://southernfood.about.com/cs/crockpotrecipes/tp/tpcrockpots.htm
Some people have a large and a smaller pot. I usually fill up my large pot and freeze the leftovers.

Thanks Bryanna!!
That is a nice link.
I also went back through the messages and found the link you posted to slate.com rating the slow cookers. I also read the reviews on amazon and epinions.
I basically want one to make your chicken cutlets and pot roast in. I think I am really leaning towards the cuisinart, even though it is big. I will just have to find room. Tee hee.
What is interesting to me is that most of the new generation slow cookers are having issues with the "HI" settings. People are generally saying that the setting is too hot. But I guess like any new appliance, there is a learning curve.
My b-day is coming up so my DH wants a list of things I would like to have :) I also listed the Zojirushi NH-VBC18 10-Cup Rice Cooker.... a tad pricey but I put it on the list anyway. The way I figure is that he benefits from this as well..... (giggle)
