Bryanna or anyone,
Has anyone tried to cook quinoa in microwave? If you did, let me know how.
My co-woker and I are trying to make quinoa and brown rice sushi at work. There is no stove at work but microwave. :-)

I haven't tried this, but from http://www.shopnatural.com/html/13520.htm
"To prepare in microwave, just add two parts water to one part quinoa in a microwave safe bowl. cover and heat on high for 4 minutes, then remove from heat and stir. Heat again for an additional 2 minutes. Stir and let stand for 1 minute before eating."
OR from http://altiplanogold.com/faq.html#HowshouldIcookquinoa
"Microwave cooking directions:
In a round 2-quart microwave-safe casserole dish or bowl, combine 1 cup whole quinoa and 2 cups water.
Cover loosely with plastic wrap.
Microwave at HIGH 10-12 minutes, or until most of the water is absorbed.
Remove from microwave. Stir once. Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes before serving."
