There's been a heatwave over the Danish capital for more than a week now. Thank Gad we have a large balcony where we sit out all the time! I guess I'm not the only one who gets lazy in the heat when it comes to cooking - so I browsed through the old Vegan Feast Newsletters to find something delish to quickly throw together with a salad on the side, and the answer came with Bryanna's vegan Fettucine Alfredo, made with a simple cornmeal / soymilk sauce! It was scrumptious! The sauce was thick and rich, looking and tasting as if it had been cooked with cream and eggs, even "curdling" around the pasta as it cooled. If you overlooked this recipe the first time round, now's the occasion to rediscover it! It's taken from Newsletter #2, Oct/Nov. 2003. Yummy yummy!

Thanks, Soren. It is very hot in California too. Man, the temp reaches high 90 to 100 in some places. We have been eating sandwiches too. Lately, we fell in love with sauerkraut (store bought organic Sauerkraut Eden brand is good). We ate 'bratwurst'(I like Tofurky beer brats, DH likes Yves brats) with sauerkraut. We also bbques sweet potatoes, yellow squashes, corns, etc. We bought Gardenburger Riblets which are yummy!

Yes, I have been looking for what to cook lately. Thanks for pointing the alfredo recipe.
