Oh, wow, those potato balls...what a great way to use yuba.
I love the halawa idea! There aren't many sweet yuba recipes. It looks tooo good.

I made homemade soymilk milk once and pulled the yuba off. It was probably the easiest part of the whole mess! At the time, though, I had no idea what to do with it, so used it as a scramble. It was super soft; much different from the dry or frozen found at the market. It had a nice fresh smell too, which is also different from the store-bought!

Hi from Missouri! I am visiting in-laws in Missouri and am using their computer to go on-line.

I love fresh yuba. I use it to make my vegan fish. It's GREAT! Linda, you can also use fresh yuba to make Chinese 'Egg' Drop Soup. The fresh yuba resembles the soft egg whites that are dropped into a Chinese style soup. It's yummy!

I don't make my own fresh yuba, btw. Time to time the fresh yuba is available in Asian market. Yes, that website is interesting, Bryanna!

Hi, Debbie! Is it hot there? I visited my sister-in-law in Neosho one July and it was sweltering! Mind you, it's about 27 degrees centigrade here today, and up to 40 in some places inland.

Oooooooh, eggscellent, Deb! :D I hadn't thought of that, but you're right: that would be the perfect texture! We used to have the egg drops in chicken stock when we were young to make it into a soup when times were lean, lol.
It goes well in any chicken-style soup, though; even matzoh ball soup!

I wonder if yuba would make good matzoh balls?? That site has those potato-yuba balls...

Hope you're having a great time, Deb! It's roasting in California! AND it's HUMID! Ack.

Hi Bryanna and Linda,

No, it's not hot at all and not humid! We are very lucky that the weather has been really nice since we we've been here last Friday. We attended my husband's nephew garden wedding last Saturday. It was in 80F (twenty something Celcius?). It was a nice outside wedding. We went to a lake and had a picnic with the whole family yesterday. It was also in 80s. Had a nice picnic the entire afternoon.

Today, it was in 70s and breezy. Very nice! I thought that it will be warmer in California. We are leaving Wednesday and not looking forward to a hot California.
Missouri is so green and pretty.
