A panini grill if you don't already have it. :-)

They indeed do!!!
Hi Debbie, it's a lovely blog you've created for yourself.
We do have a combined waffle iron / sandwich toaster - not that fancy as the one you have there - but you sure got me hooked!

Wow Debbie, you're really tempting me! I have been eyeing this machine, and now I feel like I must go and buy it. My only hesitation is that is looks kind of small, like it will only make 1 sandwich at a time. Can you make 2? How does it work to grill tofu or make satays?

Yongkie came over to my house last weekend (for a tempeh delivery) and saw a big Cuisinart box on my floor. He got excited and asked if I had ordered one of the panini grills that you have been raving about. It wasn't the grill, but it is a new ice cream maker (Cuisinart Supreme). A totally AMAZING machine!! You don't have to freeze the bowl before you make the ice cream, so you can make it whenever you want and can also make several batches in a row. You have got to check this toy out!! Boy, we are all an expensive influence on each other : )

Thanks all! I forgot to include the picture of the 'cheese'. I took a good picture of the 'Jack cheese' and it is now posted in my blog. It is the best cheese, Bryanna! It melts in the panini. I love it.

Søren,

The grill plates are removable from this grill. The other plates are for the griddle to make pancakes. I don't know why they don't include waffle iron plates too. That would be ideal to have everything all in one.

Julie,

I can make 2 paninis at one time if I position the sandwich vertically instead of horizontally like in the picture. I made 12 paninis for 12 ladies in about 40 minutes. To keep warm, I put the finished ones in the warm oven. It was possible.

It's great for tofu and TVP slices on the flat plates. I grilled teriyaki firm tofu and made bulgogi with TVP slices using the flat plates. What so great about the grill is that the top and bottom compartments are both heated so food are heated so fast in a few minutes.

I was eyeing the Breville brand at William Sonoma. It was LARGE but the plates are not removable. I prefer the removable kind. It's only 2 of us at home so I thought the smaller one is enough. It takes less counter space too. I use it a lot so it stays on the counter.

Yongkie just bought this grill because of me. :-) He bought it for $104 in Oregon (without tax plus a 20% off coupon). Yes, he says that I am an 'influence'. He says it's dangerous talking to me about cooking. ;-) But he likes the grill.

WOW, never heard of that Cuisinart ice cream maker! I have one but still have to freeze the bowl. Yes, we influence each other on expensive appliances. When we don't talk we save money. Lol!

My next buy is definitely the Kuhn Rikon smaller pressure cooker. I won't get it till xmas.
