hullo bryanna,
just want to thank you for that great soy milk recipe. my soymilk maker arrived, and i tried making soymilk. it was thin and watery. i tried twice with the same result. yesterday, i soaked up some soybeans and brown rice a la bryanna, and... perfect soy milk this morning. beautiful. full bodied, creamy. perfect.
thanks so much.
also think i finally have the yogurt down. also made tofu. i have not even used a whole pound of soybeans and made so much.
thanks, again!

My first soymilk maker is in the mail. I cannot wait. I'm really excited about making fresh tofu, because I've been reading about it on Bryanna's blog.

If anyone has any suggestions for recipes and books on making tofu, please let me know. :)

Hi,

I finally got around to trying out my SoyQuick. I tried draining the soy milk using a cotton sheet. However the milk tasted like the cotton sheet. I used an old clean pillow case. Perhaps that was not the best choice.

What kind of cotton sheet should I use to strain the milk?

Thanks,

Rochelle

Rochelle, You can buy cotton sheeting new at a fabric store-- that would be your best bet.

Steph, there are explicit directions for making tofu (with photos) right here on this website at http://www.bryannaclarkgrogan.com/page/page/3009045.htm
written by Brenda W., who makes tofu several times a week!

3) If you are too busy to clean out the machine right after making the soymilk, try this.

Thanks for all you helps,

Rochelle

Rochelle, I tried that link and it worked-- it leads you to Step 8, Clean-up.

thanks Bryanna. I was planning on using those directions. I was also hoping to find directions on making flavored tofu, etc.

I'm going to the store to get ingredients today... so I can make the new mexican feast!!! :)
