Hi Bryanna,
I tried to make these pancakes yesterday morning but I think they didn't turn out as they are supposed to be. They won't brown like in the picture. I turned the heat to 325 degrees F in my griddle (the Cuisinart one). But I think it is too low. The pancakes where very pale and didn't brown at all. After I pour the batter, the edges were cooked right away but the bottom didn't brown at all.
I read the recipe again and I think I was supposed to turn the griddle very high and wait for a long time to get it very hot. That was my mistake. Then turn it down to 325 F, maybe?
They taste good but was flat and rubbery. They didn't turn out like pancakes.
Oh well! ---------- Debbie

I will re-do the text on this recipe. Yes, you should heat you griddle to high and then turn down. Perhaps my griidle is overly-hot. Just cook them as you would normal pancakes and they should turn out! ---------- "To look like a goddess, eat like a peasant." Karen Andres

Thanks Bryanna! It actually is my own fault. I was thinking that these pancakes are not supposed to be cooked on high heat but I was wrong. They are supposed to be cooked like regular pancakes. In my griddle, I like to turn it up to 375 F for regular pancakes.
