Hi Bryanna,

I have an idea that you can sell your vegan core recipes to WW. WW don't really have a lot of vegetarian/vegan recipes. When I searched the recipes on-line in WW, there are 75 recipes but most of them are repeats and they are the same recipes but put in different categories. WW just came up with Flex and Core cookbook but most of them have meat, cheese, or seafood in it. Just an idea! :-)

Just a FYI, WW recommends to vegans to take calcium pills because we need it since we don't take dairy products. But actually, I checked my soy milk (Silk) and it contains 30% of the daily requirement per 8 oz. I usually drink 16 oz per day. I am really glad that SILK has calcium in it. So I don't take additional calcium supplements. The other 40% I get it from tofu and greens.

Hmmm... I'll keep that in mind, Debbie! Thanks! And yes, I think you probably get enough calcium.

Congrats on your 10 pounds Debbie! I have been watching since 1-4-2006 and am down 5 pounds. Monday will be my next weigh in. I am doing the flex plan for now. I have been really enjoying pita pizza's, daily for the last week I have had a different pizza! I have been hungering for soup and will probably make the black eyed pea soup with smoked tofu in it from the last newsletter, it was very yummy. I have found a light 12 grain (low calorie) 40 cal per slice, 1 point per 2 peices bread. I picked this one up at our local supermarket I have been reading that there is one from Rudi's organic bakery also.

HI Dori,

Congratulations!

It is not as easy to find Rudi's Organic bread that is 1 point per slice in my area since the bakery is in Colorado. I like their bread but mostly what I can get here is 2 points per slice or 3 points. They are good. Their olive oil bread is gread for panini.

Food for Life Ezekiel bread is easier to find. Most of their bread is 1 point per slice. The bakery is in Southern California.
