Smoking food

I decided that I don't need to buy the stove top smoker appliance. I used my galvanized steel wok last night to tea smoked tofu and it works fine. I learned how to smoke food in a wok now. It is quite simple and I don't need to buy another appliance. :-)

I smoked portabella mushrooms too but didn't marinade them in the brine. Was I supposed to marinade them first? I haven't tried them yet.
