Hot pocket like sandwhiches (i.e. pasties)

Hi --

Does anyone have a good recipe for pasties? (they are similar to hot pockets). Could I use a pie crust and wrap filling in it?

Or maybe a good empanada recipe.

Thanks again

(I am just full of questions tonight)

I used to make filled breads and pastries for my kids for school-- they loved them. I often used bread dough, but pie dough works, too. I would use leftover stews (even bean or lentil), chile, etc..

Thanks Bryanna--

Maybe I will try both ways. So with the bread dough it would be similar to a calazone. Hmm why did I not think of that....

We are now in the below freezing time in New England so using the oven now is preferable :)
