The new newsletter is TERRIFIC! It's late but it's GRAND so we forgive you...ha ha....
I really want to make the Jamaican Pork Tenderloin but we have a heat wave and I don't feel like cooking seitan in clay pot for hours. So I chose the Kneaded Seitan "Pork" cutlets recipe which I am making right now. I can cook the cutlets in my slow cooker. I also have your Jiffy Hamburger bun in the bread maker right now. I am thinking of BBQ cutlets on a bun for this kind of weather.
A question about the cooking broth, you put 6 veggie bouilon cubes(chicken-style) in the Kneaded Seitan "Pork" cutlets recipe. Is that really 6 cubes? I thought you usually put 1 cube. I think I am going to try with 1 first and taste it then add more since I will need to cook it before long. My veggie cube is salty.

Yeah, it's 6 cubes-- the ones that are for 1 cup ofliquid, not 2 cups. Use low-salt ones, if you prefer, or use less. ---------- "To look like a goddess, eat like a peasant." Karen Andres

Thanks, Bryanna! I only have the McCormick ones that I bought from Canada when I visited you last year. That one is for 2 cups per cube.
I did make the Kneaded Seitan "Pork" Cutlets. They came out wonderful! I haven't used it yet and now are sitting in the fridge firming up. I used the Quick Version "Pork" cutlets(my favorite) that I always keep a batch in the freezer for the BBQ "Pork" sandwich. That BBQ "Pork" sandwich is so delicious with the South Carolina Gold BBQ sauce. YUM!
I suppose I can use the kneaded seitan cutlets for the Jamaican stew or the Filipino stew (from the new newsletter)also since I don't have dry soy protein chunks. ---------- Debbie
