Hi Bryanna,
I want to make the Roulade from the new newsletter. However I have a couple of questions prior to making it.
1. My husband really does not like mushrooms. Is there something else you suggest I could use?
2. I do not have a jelly roll plan. Our budget is tight and I do not envision me being able to get one in the near future. Can you suggest another type of pan? Would a casserole pan work?
Thanks for your help. We get a bunch of greens from our CSA (kale, chard, takoi) and I would like using them in this dish. Do you think carrots would also be good in the souffle along with the greens?
Thanks again,
Rochelle

You can fill the roulade with just about anything that strikes your fancy! However, you do need a pan of that size and depth. Could you borrow one, or check thrift stores? ---------- "To look like a goddess, eat like a peasant." Karen Andres

Thanks for you help Bryanna! I was able to find a 12 x 17 in pan. So I increased the recipe by 30%. The roulade came out great. I do need to practice the rolling part though :)
I ended up using squash in place of the mushrooms. We have a lot of squash from our CSA. My husband sends his gratitude also. He loved the dish.
Thanks again,
Rochelle

Terrific! That is very inventive-- I don't think I would have thought of squash! I'm glad you both liked it. ---------- "To look like a goddess, eat like a peasant." Karen Andres
